| Printed Circuit Board Assembly
Defond excels in producing intricate PCB's populated with a wide variety of components. Defond's skilled and dedicated labor force is specially trained and experienced in PCB assembly. High speed, automatic placement machines are used for volume assembly production. Advanced technologies and processes, which have been proven to be economically feasible, are used by Defond. Examples of these technologies and processes are listed below. Combinations of these processes are frequently used on complex assemblies. Combinations of electro-mechanical and electronic components are typically incorporated in PCB assemblies. Defond is extremely proficient in manual and wave soldering of components to PCB assemblies.
- Digital and analog circuit design
- Intricate manual PCB assembly
- Single and double sided mounting (Type I, Type II)
- Through hole technology
- SMT (Surface Mount Technology)
- COB (Chip on Board)
- Electro-mechanical PCB assembly
- High speed, flexible and accurate automatic PCB assembly machines
- Wave and manual soldering
- Combination assemblies using process combinations:
Wire bonding, small signal, high power, through hole, SMT, COB (Type II, Type III)
Printed Circuit Board Usage in Assembly
Defond currently manufactures prototypes for rapid engineering development, but purchases PCB's for production requirements from recognized components suppliers. All PCB's are manufactured to an IPC-A610 Class 2 Workmanship and Acceptability specification. Currently, single and double sided PTH PCB's are the most widely used in Defond's production. Layered boards are also available. DNA Group, Inc. and Defond are ready to develop a control for your product.
